My First Love

Everybody across Europe loves it, we in Kosova aren't different. As young kids we all fall in love with it and continue to love it for years and years after.

Our first great love is Football!

After the war in my country ended, families started to settle on their homes and started doing many different things to help in their kids development. I was quite lucky to live in a city at that time, since the opportunities that it gave us were substantially higher that kids who lived in villages. Among the great things that we had was the football club. The club re-started its activity on the first summer after the war and started accepting young footballers on their football academies soon after.

I started playing football for my local team "Drenica" when I was 7, and it definitely was my first great love. Training was a very fun activity and I can truly say that from training to be a football player I have learned a lot of things about human bodies, especially mine. (Whenever I run nowdays I remember the breathing cycle that was explained to me as a 7 year old footballer by our coach, whenever I stretch I remember the stretches we did after a training session or a game, all my physical activities that I do now I am able to find some correlation with my past experiences with football).

Excitement of a young kid when he scores a goal cannot be compared with anything else, I still remember when I scored my first goal playing a local team, I was the happiest person in the world. It was a very good goal, an accidental header from around the penalty point which went straight in just slightly going over the keeper (who being my age was quite small and we played in big goals). Friends hugging, family members and others cheering, its a delightful thing to happen to a 7 years old kid and a very good memory to a 24 year old. Among many things that pushed me to love the sport even more at those times was an article that was written for me by a very respected sports journalist (he sadly passed away just a few years after we did the interview) when I was 8. As a talented player my coach and the journalist decided they wanted to showcase me and my skills on the sports paper. I do remember how much that article helped with my confidence, as every time I didn't play well, or got very tired during a training session or anything bad happened that normally would discourage me from playing I would go and take a look at the article and would get all the motivation I needed for days/weeks to come.

I played football for many years and always enjoyed it, we as a team participated onto different tournaments sometimes did good, sometimes we could have done better but we never stopped and I believe that, that is the point, play a lot so you can have tons of fun, play the game because of the excitement you get from it and play it to live a healthy life.
I feel that I should mention one very good and successful tournament that we had in Albania (I must have been around 12-13) where we played against teams from 5 different countries. This was the first big "thing" for us. We were very focused and managed to win every single game until we reached the finals, where sadly we got beaten 3:0 from a team from Kosova. During this tournament I scored twice which is good but on our last game I missed a golden opportunity to score and we got punished, however the score we got was very good and we got a lot of praise from our coach at that particular tournament. . .Every good think comes to an end, unfortunately my dream of being a football star came to an end due to a leg injury, I think it happened overtime since I never got hurt very badly in a match or training but something happened and I was forced out of the field by my doctor. My love for the game has never ended I still love football a lot, I am a passionate fan of my local team "Drenica" and a huge fan of "Barcelona" but its been quite some time since I have last played a game.

(As you're going to find later during my story I don't play football anymore for a variety of reason and not all of them are bad)

World Archery Championship, Copenhagen 2015

I want to begin this blog, by apologizing to you guys, I haven't been able to write that much lately, I don't have a lot of time and I cannot seem to find motivation to write, however, whenever I find the time and I start writing, I love it. I am also training for an upcoming important competition, that is taking a lot of time out of my schedule and work hasn't been easy either. I promise one thing though, I won't stop writing, I may delay blogs but I will keep em coming. Today my story goes to the beautiful Viking land. I want to share the story of my time in Denmark, taking part in the World Archery Championship there. 2015 was a big year, I had a lot of training and multiple international competitions and I have to admit I got tired a little bit by the end of the season. This Championship was at the end of the season, I was tired but I had to compete here because this is where the best athletes come and compete, you cannot miss a chance like this and that was the r...

The birthplace of Philosophy

Studying, training and youth activities were enough activities to make my days full. I would always be busy, however I loved it. One thing that when I was younger I didn't really like was working a lot, I didn't mind to do one thing at a time but when it came to doing multiple things at the same time I didn't really enjoy it, growing up I started to enjoy it better and better everyday. And at 22 (this is happening in the year 2015) I learned how to live by doing multiple things daily. I felt I was growing as a man working on these things and I absolutely believe that everyone should do this at one point in their lives.  -Philosophy: Going back to high school, when I first started to learn Philosophy I felt how far the human mind has gone and how little to nothing we as individuals know. Learning about the worlds best philosophers, about philosophies. about world views developed from the greatest minds to ever live among us, make no mistake some of those minds have caused ...
