Thoughts and more. .

Like in the previous blog, again I begin by apologizing for not being able to write as often as I would like too. I absolutely miss this but I cannot seem to find enough time to sit down on my chair, think and write these blogs. However, that being said, I don't plan on stopping it. Actually, I have some more ideas to develop my blog or even create a new one (will keep you posted in this one).

After Copenhagen I had a conversation with myself, if I was to continue my career as an archer I had to put my best effort, or stop competing and do it just as a hobby. I am telling you, it's not an easy conversation to have, you have to take a lot of things into consideration before coming to a final decision.
At first I started thinking "was this all worth it?", an answer to a question like that ain't easy to come, you think of the time you spent, the good/bad you've done during this time and you try to come to a decision. One thing I kept in mind during this conversation was the friends that I got to make during my career and the amazing places I visited and in the end I believe that these two were the deciding factors of pushing me to continue my career. Yeah, I decided to give one more push and see if I still have it.
I also had a chat with my family and my coach, probably one of the people that truly helped me to come to my decision to keep shooting was my coach who always believed in my skills. My mom and the rest of my family who've been supportive from the beginning kinda let me make my own mind and I am thankful for that since I think it would have been confusing having different opinions. I am complicated I know.

When you feel down, you need something to pick you up and help you get your motivation back and something came at the best time. "Something, Something" came to Kosova. For those unfamiliar with them, they are an amazing studio based in Scotland who decided to do a documentary with some of the Olympic hopefuls from my country and the history of sport in Kosovo. Being part of this documentary meant being part of history, being part of the new history that my country is trying to write. We aren't representing only ourselves, we are representing generations who didn't have the same opportunity as we do now. Knowing this, I picked myself up and started doing what I should have been doing for months, doing some actual, proper training.
The time we spent shooting this documentary in Kosovo I had a blast, the team couldn't be better. They were interested in a lot of things and I had fun sharing information about what I do, where I do it and how I try to do it. At a point where I was lacking motivation, this was amazing, it helped me push and I am very thankful to everyone involved in this project.

This project happened just before the most important competition in my life, a competition where I would find out if I am 'cut up' for this, or if I am just another guys trying to do something impossible. I was selected to be part of the team Kosova, representing my country in Nottingham, England. This was the European Championship and the final tickets to the games would be earned in this competition.
For me this competition was very important for multiple reasons, starting by the importance of the qualifying tournament for "Rio 2016", continuing with the importance that a European competition entails and last but no least I was about to fulfill a life time dream of mine, I was about to visit The UK. This competition had potential of being the greatest trip of my life in multiple fronts, all I had to do was WORK NON-STOP.

As I am writing this blog, the times is 01:45 a.m., I feel tired and little bit dizzy. I want to keep writing but I am afraid that I won't be able to do justice to the best trip of my life so I have decided to write the story of Nottingham on my next blog.
Stay tuned since I plan to make it extra long, as I want to include as many details about the competition, the city and my feelings.
Cheers until the next one. . .

World Archery Championship, Copenhagen 2015

I want to begin this blog, by apologizing to you guys, I haven't been able to write that much lately, I don't have a lot of time and I cannot seem to find motivation to write, however, whenever I find the time and I start writing, I love it. I am also training for an upcoming important competition, that is taking a lot of time out of my schedule and work hasn't been easy either. I promise one thing though, I won't stop writing, I may delay blogs but I will keep em coming. Today my story goes to the beautiful Viking land. I want to share the story of my time in Denmark, taking part in the World Archery Championship there. 2015 was a big year, I had a lot of training and multiple international competitions and I have to admit I got tired a little bit by the end of the season. This Championship was at the end of the season, I was tired but I had to compete here because this is where the best athletes come and compete, you cannot miss a chance like this and that was the r...

My First Love

Everybody across Europe loves it, we in Kosova aren't different. As young kids we all fall in love with it and continue to love it for years and years after. Our first great love is Football ! After the war in my country ended, families started to settle on their homes and started doing many different things to help in their kids development. I was quite lucky to live in a city at that time, since the opportunities that it gave us were substantially higher that kids who lived in villages. Among the great things that we had was the football club. The club re-started its activity on the first summer after the war and started accepting young footballers on their football academies soon after. I started playing football for my local team "Drenica" when I was 7, and it definitely was my first great love. Training was a very fun activity and I can truly say that from training to be a football player I have learned a lot of things about human bodies, especially mine. (When...

The birthplace of Philosophy

Studying, training and youth activities were enough activities to make my days full. I would always be busy, however I loved it. One thing that when I was younger I didn't really like was working a lot, I didn't mind to do one thing at a time but when it came to doing multiple things at the same time I didn't really enjoy it, growing up I started to enjoy it better and better everyday. And at 22 (this is happening in the year 2015) I learned how to live by doing multiple things daily. I felt I was growing as a man working on these things and I absolutely believe that everyone should do this at one point in their lives.  -Philosophy: Going back to high school, when I first started to learn Philosophy I felt how far the human mind has gone and how little to nothing we as individuals know. Learning about the worlds best philosophers, about philosophies. about world views developed from the greatest minds to ever live among us, make no mistake some of those minds have caused ...
